This talk outlines some of the distinctive features of “Jewish Italy,” including its history, food, art, literature, and cultural traditions, to investigate what “Jewish Italy” might mean. From The Merchant of Venice to The Garden of the Finzi-Continis, literature has played an especially prominent role in understandings of Jewish Italy.

Modesty Patrols in the Ultra Orthodox Enclave of Jerusalem"
with Dr.Motti Inbari, UNC Pembroke
