Thursday Conversations on Sage-ing

  • Unitarian Universalist Fellowship of Raleigh 3313 Wade Avenue Raleigh, NC, 27607 United States (map)

Gather in circle each session to explore the Sage-ing® process, enabling us to live the second half of our lives aging more consciously. Topics include our images of aging, relationships, aging as a spiritual journey, life review, the gift of forgiveness, facing personal mortality. Bring a journal and an open heart each session as we deepen our knowing of self and one another. This is the first of three sessions - April 4th, April 18th, and May 2nd.

Please register at www.yavneh-raleigh.org/sage-ing to help us plan set up and materials for each session. There is no cost to attend, although donations to support Yavneh programming will be accepted. Popcorn/snacks provided.

Facilitator Stacy Grove is a Jewish Interfaith Minister and Spiritual Director, a member of Yavneh, and part-time Pastoral Care Minister at Eno River Unitarian Universalist Fellowship.

This offering is based on the work of Rabbi Zalman Schachter-Shalomi, who published from AGE-ing to SAGE-ing, which proposed a profound new vision of growing older. He established the Spiritual Eldering Institute in 1997, that later became Sage-ing® and Sage-ing® International. Many now gather in circles throughout the country to share their wisdom of the elder years.
