Reweaving Jewish Communities: A Healing Circle

Program Description: This healing circle is for Jewish people seeking community, support, and connection amidst the unfolding war in Israel & Gaza. You will be guided through a mix of trauma-informed creative arts methods and conversation to honor the complexities of this time. Join us in witnessing each others’ pain points, strengthening connections, and sharing hopes. Together, we will express and reflect on what it feels like to be Jewish in the aftermath of October 7.

About the Speaker: Barbara Kaynan, MA, RDT, is the founder of Reweaving Communities through which she serves as a facilitator, speaker, & trainer focused on the relationship between interpersonal and collective trauma & resilience. Barbara specializes in guiding communities through creative, evidenced-based processes of transformation into increased relational safety, clarity, vitality, and collaboration. People seek Barbara's support when they need fresh & diverse access points into shifting their pain & stuckness into transformation & growth. Her offerings have been applied within settings including nonprofit, clinical, corporate, cultural & social justice organizations, academic, and more. She is a published research scholar, peer review editor, and former professor for Long Island University-CW Post.
