Join us as we travel to Genome Auditorium UNC-Campus for a presentation by General H.R. McMaster, former US National Security Advisor - "Strategic Narcissism and the Need for Historical Perspective in Foreign Policy and National Security.”

General McMaster is the keynote speaker at the 60th anniversary celebration of the Triangle Institute for Security Studies. A goal of this anniversary conference will be to consider the relationship between intelligence and security. tissiccae.web.unc.edu/

About the speaker: H.R. McMaster, retired US Army general, was a commissioned officer for thirty-four years, serving with distinction in the Gulf War, Operation Enduring Freedom, and Operation Iraqi Freedom and playing a key role in designing the army of the future and educating the military. One of our nation's most famous warrior scholars, General McMaster is the author of Dereliction of Duty, a highly regarded work that explores the military's role in the policies of the Vietnam War. He holds a Ph.D. from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.
